INJURY UPDATE: MK DONS

2 October 2019

THE Brewers will be without Stephen Quinn and John Brayford on Saturday when they travel to MK Dons (kick off 3pm).

Both players missed the Leasing.com Trophy game last night against Everton and Brayford’s calf and Quinn’s knee injury will also see them miss Saturday’s return to League One action.

Skipper Jake Buxton also didn’t feature last night but may be in the squad at MK Dons.

Brewers manager Nigel Clough said: “We are looking realistically after the international break for John and Stephen.

“Stephen has had a scan on his knee, and it was a three to four-week injury. Because of the problems he has had in the past he fears the worst when he gets an awkward challenge like he had at Tranmere but the scan has put his mind at rest that it’s OK.

“We miss his aggression and the way he drives players on. He gives us that more than anybody.

“With Jake, it’s a case of how he feels with his ribs. He wasn’t involved against Everton, but he may go on the bench on Saturday.”

Nathan Broadhead missed the Everton game as he wasn’t allowed to play against his parent club but will be back in the squad on Saturday.
