PIRELLI STADIUM WILL HOST BORN FREE CHARITY SPECIAL EVENT

8 October 2019

THE Pirelli Stadium is set to host a charity dinner that will be attended by Born Free star Virginia McKenna OBE.

The film, made in 1966, saw Virginia and real-life husband Bill Travers play Joy and George Adamson who famously raised a lion club and released her back into the wilderness.

Since 1984, The Born Free Foundation has been working tirelessly to ensure that all wild animals, whether living in captivity or in the wild, are treated with compassion and respect.

The special event at the Pirelli Stadium will mark 35 years of the Born Free charity.

Joining Virginia will be Will Travers OBE and celebrity auctioneer James Lewis for an evening of dinner, dancing and entertainment.

The event takes place on Saturday, November 9.

Tickets are now available at £50 per person, and include a three-course dinner, disco, entertainment and a special charity auction.
