NIGEL Clough will be sending a strong squad to Hednesford for tonight’s Birmingham Senior Cup First Round tie (kick off 7.45pm).
The likes of Jevan Anderson, David Templeton, Joe Sbarra, Lloyd Dyer and Colin Daniel, who were on the subs’ bench at MK Dons on Saturday are expected to be in the squad and skipper Jake Buxton may well play some part.
The Brewers manager said: “We hope to get Jake back on the pitch and see how long he can last with his rib injury.
“After that we have a break and the lads can have some time off – it’s a long hard season and hopefully we will benefit from these breaks later on in the season.”
Goalkeeper Jack Livesey, first year pros Ben Hart, Nathan Morley and Ethan Vale, Chris Beardsley and Academy prospect Tom Hewlett are also expected to feature in the squad.
