BACT RECEIVES BOOST FROM UTTOXETER RACECOURSE

11 October 2019

UTTOXETER Racecourse has presented Burton Albion Community Trust (BACT) with a cheque for £700.

Earlier this year, BACT was chosen to be one of Uttoxeter Racecourse’s charities of the year for 2019 and throughout the year there will be 10 different race events that BACT will be fundraising at.

Following two charity collections so far this year at Uttoxeter’s Summer Cup Race Day and Ladies Day, the racecourse has now donated an additional £700 to BACT.

The aim of the partnership is to raise funds to enable BACT to deliver more programmes in the Uttoxeter area, on top of what’s already being delivered in local schools and on the evenings and weekends.

Specifically, BACT is looking to raise funds to deliver Active Ageing programmes which will benefit older members of the community.

Lee Milligan, BACT Event and Partnerships Officer, said: ‘We’re delighted with the donation from Uttoxeter Racecourse.

“We’re very grateful that they already allow us to be one of their charities for the year, and to now receive this additional money  is a really fantastic gesture.”

David Macdonald, Executive Director at Uttoxeter Racecourse, said: “We are very pleased to have helped arrange this donation of £700. This is a really worthy cause and we are delighted that these donations from our customers on Summer Cup Race Day and Ladies Day, will help support the excellent work that the Burton Albion Community Trust does.”
