JUNIOR BREWERS MEET BURTON ALBION FIRST TEAM

30 October 2019

JUNIOR Brewers members got a chance to meet their Burton Albion heroes at a special event at the Pirelli Stadium.

The youngsters joined the Burton Albion first team squad and manager Nigel Clough for a group photograph, before taking part in football activities on the 3G pitch.

They were able to enjoy penalty shoot outs with their favourite players and got a chance to grab autographs.

Burton Albion Ladies players were also at the event as well as participants on Burton Albion Community Trust’s half-term football courses.

BACT Head of Community Matt Hancock said: “It was great to see the youngsters interacting with the first team squad and Burton Albion Ladies players.

“This is a great community football club and events like this show that.

“Our Junior Brewers are very important to the football club and I hope all the members enjoyed their visit to the Pirelli Stadium.”

First team captain Jake Buxton said: “All the lads enjoyed meeting the youngsters and we want to thank them for supporting Burton Albion.

"The players love meeting our young fans and we look forward to more events with the Junior Brewers later this season.”

It costs only £15 to be a Junior Brewers member. Forms are available from the Club Shop.
