CHARLOTTE CROSBY IS HEADING FOR CELEBRITY MATCH AT PIRELLI STADIUM

12 September 2019

TV personality Charlotte Crosby will join a host of renowned celebrities and former Burton Albion fan favourites for a charity football game at the Pirelli Stadium on Sunday, September 22.

The game will raise funds for Burton Albion Community Trust’s targeted mental health programmes and kicks off at 3pm.

Charlotte, known for appearing in the MTV reality series Geordie Shore and winning the 12th series of Celebrity Big Brother, now stars in her own reality series, The Charlotte Show, and will manage one of the teams.

Soap and reality stars, TV favourites and pop artists are among the celebrities who will play for the second time at the home of Burton Albion.

It has now been announced that actor Danny Dyer and Soap Star Joe Plant, from Emmerdale, will captain the sides, with support from Danny’s daughter, Dani, who will manage the second team alongside Charlotte Crosby from the touchline.

Contestants from the recently popular Love Island 2019 have been added to the list of names playing, with Joe Garratt, Tom Walker, Marvin Brooks, Callum Macleod and Danny Williams all taking part in the fixture.

The other celebrities that are currently confirmed to take part in the game are:

James Argent, Liam Gatsby and Dan Osborne (TOWIE), Dom Lever and Alex Beattie (Love Island 18), Jeremy Lynch (F2 Freestylers), Sam Gowland, Joshua Ritchie and Kieran Hayler (TV Personality), Danny-Boy Hatchard, Dean Gaffney, Matt Lapinskas and Aaron Sidwell (Soap Stars), Lee Latchford-Evans (Steps), Jay Hutton (Tattoo Fixers), Milad (The Singing Dentist), Warren Phillips (Survival of the Fittest), Neville Wilshire (The Call Centre), Man Like Haks (Comedian) and Gavin Ramjuan (Sky Sports News), Stevi Ritchie (X Factor) and Matthew Pagan (Collabro – Britain’s Got Talent Winner)

More high-profile names will be released up until the day of the game.

Burton Albion fan-favourites Aaron Webster, Lee Bell, Dale Anderson and Stuart Tomlinson are also confirmed to take part in the game, as well as current Academy Manager, Dan Robinson.

It promises to be a great afternoon out for all the family, with a chance to see some of your favourite celebrities enjoying themselves whilst also supporting the work of BACT.

BACT's Head of Community, Matt Hancock, said: “It promises to be another fantastic event following the success of the last celebrity game that we hosted.

"It’s great to have these high-profile names coming to Burton Albion and it will be a big boost to BACT and all the work we do in the community.”
