BURTON ALBION Football Club has joined forces with Burton and District Chamber of Commerce as a patron – the top tier of membership.
Fleur Robinson, Burton Albion Commercial Director, said: “The football club is an important part of the local economy and we work actively with businesses in the area to use the powerful brand of football and of Burton Albion to the benefit of all of our partners.
"Our engagement with the Chamber can only further our aims to be fully connected and active in the local business economy and to work alongside other members for the promotion of the area as a great place to do business."
Nik Hardy is in his second term as president of Burton and District Chamber of Commerce, taking up the role in 2018 and his firm Hardy Signs is also a patron.
He said: “I have the pleasure of steering the Burton and District Chamber as president – a role in which I am fortunate enough to engage with a growing business community on a daily basis.
“As a patron, we welcome the opportunity to fly the flag and further spread the positive message across the region and beyond."
Chris Plant, divisional director of Burton and District Chamber of Commerce, said: “I am delighted to welcome Burton Albion Football Club and Hardy Signs to the Chamber as patrons.
“I have personally worked very closely with these two organisations, and they have both long been fantastic advocates, supporters and members of the Chamber.
“They both represent the bright, interesting and exciting businesses which exist in Burton, demonstrating how the area is rich in organisations that are making an impact locally, nationally and internationally.
“The Chamber is now looking forward to working with Burton Albion and Hardy Signs as its new patrons, furthering its relationship with these two stellar organisations.”
