ONE of Burton Albion's major sponsors is looking to recruit more staff members.
After another successful year, award-winning Burton roof tile manufacturer Russell Roof Tiles is on the hunt for 16 new recruits.
The firm a team of 100 over two sites in Burton and is looking to fill a variety of posts which includes seven brand new roles.
Russell Roof Tiles is a leading independent pitched roof tile manufacturer supplying products for the top housebuilders and high-profile social housing and commercial projects. The company produces thousands of tiles every week used on roofs across the UK, for all of the UK’s premier housebuilders and developers.
With bases at Wetmore Lane and Nicolson Way, the manufacturer is a great place to work and has previously won the Burton Mail’s “Employer of the Year” award.
Russell Roof Tiles is looking for talented individuals who will receive a dedicated training plan and ongoing professional development. Last year the company invested £60,000 in staff training – the largest ever sum invested in staff development.

Professional development at Russell Roof Tiles is encouraged across all sites and roles. This support means that many people have risen through the ranks at the firm.
One such example is Daniel Hancox, who joined Russell Roof Tiles nine years ago as a trainee and have been promoted over the years to a senior position in the company, now managing operations at the plastics site on Wetmore Lane. Other trainees starters who have gone on to become valuable and successful members of the team are Kirby Charlesworth, Otto Mathison, Adam Clark and Rhodri Jones.
