BURTON Albion are delighted to launch the new official home and away kits for the 2020/21 season.
Both kits are now available to pre-order from the online club shop, via telephone or in the Pirelli Stadium Club Shop.
Manufactured by local longstanding kit supplier TAG Sportswear, both kits pay homage to the club’s 70-year anniversary with a specialised woven badge above the hem of the shirts.
The new home kit is made up of a customary yellow and black shirt, black shorts, and yellow socks collection. The away kit is made up of a platinum grey and navy-blue shirt, shorts and socks collection, also in honour of the club’s platinum jubilee.
The shirts also display two local businesses logos, with main shirt sponsor Prestec on the front and rear of shirt sponsor Russell Roof Tiles on the back.
The formation of Burton Albion Football Club was at a public meeting 70 years ago in July 1950, which brought back senior football to the town of Burton-Upon-Trent after a ten-year absence. The forerunners to Burton Albion were Burton Swifts, Burton Wanderers, Burton All-Saints, Burton United and Burton Town.
Chairman, Ben Robinson MBE DL, believes that there has never been a more important time for football fans to show support to their local football club. He said: “Now is a very different, but also a very important and exciting time for our football club.
“There’s a new dawn on the horizon under the leadership of new manager Jake Buxton and we need all the support possible from our fans and the local community to help us continue on our journey.
“It’s important that we celebrate the history of our club 70 years on from when we were founded, and we wanted to commemorate this with the new home and away kits.”
A first come, first served basis will be in operation on all pre-orders, with an official arrival date for the first batch of orders expected to be fulfilled within 3-4 weeks.
Official EFL names, numbers and logos are also available to purchase at an additional cost and will require 4-5 to be printed.
Club Shop opening days have also increased to five days a week, with the shop now open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8.30am-5.30pm, for fans to purchase merchandise.
