YOUNG BREWERS SET TO PLAY MANSFIELD IN FA YOUTH CUP TONIGHT

BURTON Albion Youth Team will play their second round FA Youth Cup tie against Mansfield Town TONIGHT (21 Dec).

The tie will be played behind closed doors at the Pirelli Stadium, with a 7pm kick off.

The Young Brewers put in a fantastic first round performance to see off Worcester City in the first round at the Pirelli Stadium, with goals from Ben McLean, Jakub Niemczyk, Ben Radcliffe and Yewo Nyirenda helping them to a 4-1 win.

Sam Rose, Professional Development Phase Lead Coach, says that his side are looking forward to the tie and are well-aware of what they need to do in order to progress to the next round.

“We are looking forward for the tie and having had experience of playing against Mansfield twice already this season, our group know that they are a good side and will be well prepared coming into the game.

“We're improving all the time and have been excellent at times this season, so we’re hoping that the players make the most of what is another fantastic opportunity tonight.”
