INJURY UPDATE: FLEETWOOD TOWN

8 January 2020

BREWERS manager Nigel Clough has given his assessment on the squad's fitness, ahead of our home tie against Fleetwood Town on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

There are only two key worries over ahead of the weekend, but Clough says the biggest doubt will be Kieran Wallace who is still suffering from illness.

"Kieran is still not right yet," said Clough.

"We will make sure he is fully fit before we risk him. He may not be available for Saturday."

Nathan Broadhead has missed the festive period of games due to the recurrance of an injury against Lincoln City, but the manager said that he was more hopeful that the Everton loanee would be able to be involved come Saturday.

"The good news is that Nathan Broadhead is back training again. He came through a session on Tuesday morning and we are hoping that if he makes it through the rest of the week, that he will be involved at the weekend."

John-Joe O'Toole made his return from suspension against Northampton, but it was at the expense of Richard Nartey who came off mid-way through the second half.

"JJ is back available after coming on for 70 minutes against Northampton. It was important to get him back because our defensive record with him on the pitch is better.

"Richard was just tightness with his hamstring. Once again we are hoping that he is okay."
