Burton Albion Football Club are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Deputy Safety Officer, reporting directly to the Safety Officer as appropriate in supporting and working closely alongside the safety stewards team of staff.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and problem solving skills, together with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
We are looking for someone who is dedicated to establishing and maintaining appropriate systems, controls and current legislation and policies for the safety and security of spectators and all other visitors to the stadium and making sure that all supporters and guests have a safe experience during their visit.
Full compliance with the Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds is central to this role and you will be responsible for supporting the safety team to ensure that the Pirelli Stadium meets the legislation and regulation requirements to enable all events to be held in a safe and controlled environment for the first team home matches and other events held at the stadium including UEFA, FIFA and Charity organised events.
Hours will involve attending all events for approximately 8 hours per event, and may incur additional hours for preparation of events when necessary. You will also be familiar with the match day commitments of the Safety Officer and in the event of their absence be in a position to assume responsibility for event and pre-event days.
