PREVIEW: MK DONS (H)

13 January 2020

IT is the second of back-to-back home games for the Brewers as we return to League One action this evening, hosting MK Dons at the Pirelli Stadium (kick-off 7.45pm).

A late winner from Ryan Edwards against Fleetwood Town on Saturday was just reward for a dominate display, breaking down a resilient Fleetwood side and taking all three points.

HEAD 2 HEAD

MK Dons will make their first visit to the Pirelli Stadium this evening, and our form against the side comprises only one game: a 3-0 away victory at Stadium MK on October 5, 2019.

Two goals from Liam Boyce and a stunning curled effort from Oliver Sarkic were enough for the Brewers to take a win in their first ever game against the Dons.

BREWERS TEAM NEWS

Doubts for manager Nigel Clough include Colin Daniel and David Templeton, both of whom were forced off due to injury in our game against Fleetwood Town on Saturday.

Kieran Wallace missed out due to illness on Saturday and he will be assessed on his fitness ahead of tonight’s game.

New signing Conor Shaughnessy could miss out due to a hamstring injury which he picked up whilst playing for Mansfield Town during his loan spell for the Stags, but he will also be assessed before kick-off.

MK DONS TEAM NEWS

MK Dons have made additions to their first team ranks, with Ben Gladwin joining on a free transfer from Blackburn and Carlton Morris arriving on loan from Norwich City.

And it was Morris who provided the equaliser as the Dons left it late to share the spoils away at Coventry City on Saturday.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Tonight’s match will be refereed by Martin Coy, assisted on the lines by Steven Plane and Matthew Bristow, and the Fourth Official will be Richard Woodward.

Mr Coy has officiated 21 matches so far this season, with six of those coming in League One.

He has awarded 60 yellow cards in total, with 22 coming in the third tier, whilst also awarding two straight dismissals in League Two only. He has awarded four penalty kicks this season.
