CLUB ALBION NETWORKING EVENT OPEN TO PROSPECTIVE NEW MEMBERS

24 January 2020

BUSINESS leaders are being invited to a special breakfast networking event being held at the Pirelli Stadium.

Stephen Lewis-Brammer will be the guest speaker at the next Club Albion event, a networking group that harnesses the powerful brand of football and Burton Albion FC.

Normally events are for members only but, as a one off, the next meeting on Thursday, February 27, at 7.30am will be open to guests of existing members and any businesses thinking of joining Club Albion.

Stephen Lewis-Brammer has been a salesperson, sales manager and general manager for more than 30 years. He has more than 10 years’ experience of speaking and training as well as consulting clients from SMEs.

His talk will be entitled Prospecting … A Necessary Evil. It will be a 30-minute presentation based on using various methods of prospecting including; social media, email, advertising, cold-calling, blogging and mailshots.  He will take a look at messages that can help get prospects interested including the structure of the message, what to say and how to say it as well as the importance of defining specific targets and developing a message for them, rather than just using a ‘scattergun’ approach.

Club Albion organiser Raj Athwal said: “We started the networking group due to the number of companies who associate with the Brewers on a matchday and who wanted a platform to meet and support each other.

“We are now looking to further grow Club Albion, which is why we are opening up this next event for potential new members.

“Club Albion has gone from strength-to-strength over the last four years and benefits companies who are both big supporters of the football club and those who don’t follow the Brewers.

“It’s a network where decision makers can talk, support each other and do business. Importantly, it’s for decision makers, so you know the people in the room are the ones who make the key decisions in their businesses.

“This event is open to non-members as a one off to give those interested in joining Club Albion an opportunity to come and see what the networking group is all about. Existing members will also be able to bring a guest to the event.”

Tickets for non-members are £15 plus VAT.
