BIRMINGHAM SENIOR CUP: BREWERS TRAVEL TO NUNEATON BOROUGH TONIGHT

21 January 2020

BURTON Albion travel to Liberty Way tonight as we take on Nuneaton Borough in the third round of the Birmingham Senior Cup, with a place in the semi-finals at stake.

The Brewers beat Hednesford Town 6-3 and then defeated Halesowen Town on penalties after a 1-1 draw to advance to the final eight.

It will be our second visit to Liberty Way in the last year, after an entertaining 4-4 draw in July ahead of the start of the new season.

The Brewers are expected to take a similar squad to that which has previously played in the competition, meaning the likes of Ben Garratt, David Templeton and Joe Sbarra could potentially feature, while Colin Daniel and Jevan Anderson may take part, if fit, as they take their next steps in recovery from injuries that have ruled them out of the first-team picture in recent weeks.

Young Brewers Tom Hewlett, Rueben Lal and Tom Armitage are among those Academy players who could feature this evening. All team news is fitness-permitting and could be subject to change.

Entry at Nuneaton will be £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and £1 for under-16s.
