BRAYFORD AND SARKIC VISIT STRETTON PRE-SCHOOL

13 March 2020

BREWERS players John Brayford and Oliver Sarkic visited Stretton Pre-School on Wednesday March 11, located behind the Russell Roof Tiles Stand of the Pirelli Stadium, to meet children taking part in their Fun Activities Sport Relief week, from the 9-13 March.

The pre-school, which is currently open Monday - Thursday, hosts 2-4 year olds and both Brayford and Sarkic met the youngsters before taking part in a series of fun games, including football-related themes of throwing, catching and kicking.

Tracy Watson, Stretton Pre-School Care Manager, said: “We have great links with the football club and really appreciate the players coming down. It has been exciting, really fun and engaging for the children.

“We provide opportunities for children who might not have access to them otherwise; meeting new people, getting outside and having fun.

“Olly and John were awesome; they engaged well and the children loved learning some new skills. They were so excited and it was a privilege to have them down.”

Parents looking into potential childcare options for their little ones aged from two to four years old can book an open visiting session. You can head down to visit the nursery, during the week, to see the range of activities that the team and staff do on a day-to-day basis.

Free funded sessions are available for 3-4 year olds, as are free funded sessions for Think 2 eligible children.

The pre-school runs during term time only from 8.30am-4pm on Monday to Thursday. Friday sessions will begin subject to bookings.

Children can be brought along to see how they enjoy the activities and the atmosphere - all you have to do is book a day to come in in advance.

You can email strettonpreschool@yahoo.com, visit the Stretton Pre-School page on Facebook or call 07495 312775 to book your visit.
