BURTON Albion’s players are keeping their fitness levels up during the current suspension of all football matches.
The FA, EFL and Premier League along with the professional women’s game confirmed in a joint-statement yesterday that the postponement of the 2019/20 season would be extended until April 30.
Manager Nigel Clough said: “The players have each been given individual fitness programmes to adhere to in order to keep themselves ticking over in the absence of full training.
“We’re waiting now to see when we can get back into full training, but right now football pales into insignificance with everything going on around the world at the moment.
“We hope all our fans are keeping safe at this time, and we send our best wishes to all of you and your families.”
