BURTON Albion hosted the latest of its Club Albion breakfast meetings at the Pirelli Stadium last week, where business representatives were able meet, network over breakfast and hear from guest speaker Stephen Lewis-Brammer.
Club Albion is Burton Albion FC’s dedicated business club, formed four years ago as a means of enabling our sponsors, partners and other local businesses to have a platform, away from match-days, to engage and network with one another.
Last week’s event took place at 7.30am on Thursday 27 February, and featured a buffet breakfast with tea and coffee, and a chance for representatives to meet, greet and chat with one another both before and after the event.
Professional Sales Development founder Stephen Lewis-Brammer featured as guest speaker, hosting a presentation on the importance of networking and understanding the use of various methods of prospecting, which include social media, email, advertising, cold-calling, blogging and mail shots.
It also included discussions on messages that can help get prospects interested, including the structure of a message, what to say and how to say it, as well as the importance of defining specific targets and developing a message for them, rather than just using a ‘scattergun’ approach.

This latest event was open not just to Club Albion members, but also non-members, who were given the rare opportunity to sample a Club Albion event and see its value for both themselves, their businesses and their employees.
