THE Pirelli Stadium has received the highest five-star rating after a food hygiene inspection by East Staffordshire Borough Council.
The home of Burton Albion Football Club is a popular venue for conferences, weddings, wakes, Christmas parties and events as well as match-day hospitality.
As well as serving top quality food, the Pirelli Stadium staff also pride themselves on hygiene standards which has now been shown by the five-star award.
The Food Hygiene Rating Scheme is a local authority/Food Standards Agency initiative.
The scheme provides consumers with information about hygiene standards in food premises at the time they are inspected by local authority food safety officers to check compliance with legal requirements.
Restaurants, takeaways, cafes, sandwich shops, pubs, hotels, supermarkets and other retail food outlets are all inspected and rated.
Burton Albion Commercial Director Fleur Robinson said: “Health and hygiene have always been a top priority at the Pirelli Stadium.
“Our aim is always to provide the safest environment for both our customers and staff.
“The impact of the current coronavirus pandemic has emphasised just how important top hygiene standards are to everyone’s health and wellbeing and we are delighted that we have received the highest five-star rating which shows just how high our standards are at the Pirelli Stadium.”
The Pirelli Stadium has also received a Good To Go Certificate – the COVID-19 Industry Standard in Partnership with The National Tourist Organisations of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
This recognises that the stadium has followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social/physical distancing.
Carley Evans, the Conferencing and Events Manager at the Pirelli Stadium said: “We welcome enquiries and are always happy to talk through your requirements. We can cater for big and small events, and are always ready to help”
