Burton Albion and Blackpool FC welcomes football’s open letter issued to social media companies, and signed by the EFL, calling for decisive action to be taken against all forms of online abuse and discrimination on their platforms.
Earlier this week, following the postponement of our Sky Bet League One fixture at Bloomfield Road, an individual directed a malicious and offensive post to Burton Albion’s Twitter account that has since been reported to the Police and the organisation itself.
Both clubs strongly condemn the contents of the message and adopt a zero-tolerance policy where this is concerned.
