BURTON Albion can confirm that Steven Lawless has left the club to join Scottish Premiership side Motherwell for family reasons.
Lawless was a summer signing from Livingston, and made 20 appearances for the Brewers in total, scoring once in our 3-3 Papa Johns Trophy draw away at Peterborough United.
The Scottish midfielder will now move to Fir Park, where he began his career as a trainee.
"It's just unfortunate that I came this late in, I would have liked to work with him," said manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
"But for family reasons, he has had to go back to Scotland."
Everyone at Burton Albion thanks Steven for his efforts, and wishes him all the very best for the future.
