BURTON Albion are delighted to announce that winger Omari Patrick will join the Brewers when his contract at Carlisle United expires at the end of the month.
The 25-year-old will sign a two-year contract and becomes our second announced signing of the summer following the confirmation that left-back Cameron Borthwick-Jackson will also sign for Albion in July.
Patrick joined the Cumbrians from Bradford City in January 2020, going on to score seven times in 44 league games for United. While at Bradford, Patrick also had loan spells at Yeovil Town and Wrexham, while making 31 appearances for the Bantams in all competitions.
He began his career in non-league football with Beaconsfield, before heading to the National League with Kidderminster Harriers and then to Bradford, via a spell at Barnsley.
“It feels great to be signing here, I’m really looking forward to it," Patrick told iFollow Brewers.
"As soon as I heard the interest, I wanted to jump on it and thought it would be a good opportunity for me.
“When I spoke to the gaffer (Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink) he attracted me to the club, and then I came to the ground, and I met the chairman - I felt at home and was comfortable. There is a lot of things I can learn off the gaffer and I think it will be great.
“I’m a winger, I’m quick, a bit skilful, like to drive forward and take on defenders.
“It’s a platform to come to a league above and hopefully I can establish myself here, do what I can for the team and try and make the most of it for myself.”

"We know we need pace and directness, and he brings all of that. He's a young guy, he's hungry and he will give us good options in the attacking areas, where we need to improve."
