TOP of the table Peterborough are the visitors to the Pirelli Stadium tomorrow with Burton Albion manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink well aware of the dangers posed by The Posh.

The Brewers will lose the services of Sean Clare (suspended) and Ryan Broom (who can’t play against his parent club) forcing the manager to make changes following the midweek victory over Bristol Rovers.

Hasselbaink said: “Peterborough are very good going forward, very good in transition. They have some very exciting players up front who can score goals from absolutely nothing. You can see why they are top of the league.”

The Brewers are also in good form, second only to Peterborough over the last six games, but Hasselbaink was less happy with the Albion performance than the result on Tuesday.

He said: “We will have to be better – 100 per cent. Peterborough will punish us if we make the same mistakes, they are too good up front not to. We need to be on top of our game and we can’t play their game. If we do that, we have a big chance of winning.

“But over confidence is dangerous, arrogance is dangerous. We need to respect them but take confidence from what we have done in previous matches while understanding that tactically it will be different and some players may need to do different things for us to win the match.

“We need to adjust more to them than they do to us as they have been longer together as a team and have their set patterns while we are still learning off each other.

“Sean Clare is suspended and will be a big miss with his energy but someone else will get an opportunity. Ryan Broom we always knew about, so we expected that.

“We have used the time we have with the players not in the team to top them up and keep them match fit. With so many games coming up we will need them.”
