HASSELBAINK WANTS NO LET UP AS BREWERS TRAVEL TO CREWE

12 March 2021

BURTON Albion will be looking to make it six wins in a row at Crewe tomorrow and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is making sure that after another road victory at Wimbledon in midweek his team show no signs of complacency.

The Brewers manager said: “There is no time to think about what we have done as the games come thick and fast. We always need to prepare for the next one.

“It’s great to have those wins and we have done very well, but it’s always about the next game and what we have in front of us and making sure the mental side is really sharp.

"That’s the hardest part and to get them fresh mentally to go again. There is still a lot of hard work to be done and we have to keep going."

The Brewers will be boosted by the return of Sean Clare from suspension.

Hasselbaink said: “He’s been very important for us and with his suspension I could tell him to take two days off, get fresh and come back and he has done that.

"We have topped him up again now. He should be fresh, and we can always use his energy.”

Crewe will be looking to halt the Brewers run of form and Hasselbaink is aware of their qualities.

He said: “They are all tough games. Against Crewe, tough in a different way to Wimbledon. Crewe keep the ball very well, they play out from the back, their three in the midfield are very good on the ball. They like to play it on the floor and their rotation in the middle is very good and they like to move you around.

“We don’t expect anything other than another hard game.”
