FIVE Brewers players were present to help light up the town at the Burton annual festive light switch on.
Kane Hemmings, Ryan Leak, Tom Hamer, Joe Powell and Jonny Smith were on hand to help switch on the Christmas lights and officially kick off the festive season in Burton on Sunday evening.
Annual presenter Mark O’Sullivan hosted the festivities, as the players were also joined by international DJ Nathan Dawe, Olympic bronze medallist and four-year-old Lennie Eyre.
Mayor of East Staffordshire, Councillor Patricia Ackroyd was also at the switch-on to see a large crowd assemble in the market place.
Community Engagement Ambassador, Kane Hemmings, said: “It was a great pleasure for me and the lads to help switch on the Christmas lights and start the festive season in Burton.
“Being a local lad it’s an honour for me and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a big event for the town.”
