BSC: STRONG BREWERS SQUAD SET TO FACE HALESOWEN TOWN

BURTON Albion will field a strong side when they visit the Grove to take on Halesowen Town tomorrow night in round two of the Birmingham Senior Cup, 7.45pm kick off.

The squad for tomorrow evening will be a mixture of first team players and academy scholars looking to leave their mark on the game, as the Brewers attempt to advance into the next round of the competition.

The fixture is a repeat of when the two sides last met in 2020, as the Brewers eventually ran out winners on penalties in the second round of the same competition.

Albion advanced into the second round of this year’s competition following a penalty shootout win away at Stratford Town last month.

Goals from Omari Patrick and Jacob Maddox saw the game end 2-2 in normal, with Albion keeper Ellery Balcombe making two saves in a penalty shootout to see the Brewers progress.

Pitching In Northern Premier League Halesowen Town progressed to the second round of this year’s competition after a 3-2 win away at Coleshill Town.
