KANE Hemmings is fit and will be available for selection ahead of tomorrow night’s Sky Bet League One clash with Morecambe at the Pirelli Stadium.
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink confirmed at today’s press conference that the striker came off as a precautionary measure in last weekend’s defeat away at Plymouth Argyle.
“Kane is available for selection. He said that he had a tight calf and he felt that it might go at any moment, so we brought him off. He trained today and is ready,” said the Brewers manager.
The Brewers boss has also had further injury boosts ahead of the game, confirming that Michael Mancienne and Danny Rowe will both be available for selection.
Morecambe posses the joint best attacking threat in the division leading into the game and Hasselbaink says he is aware of what the newly promoted side will be all about.
“It’s a team that stick together, a team that works hard together and they stick to their strengths.
“They are well organised. They have a low block and back off, which then allows them to hit sides of the break.
“They are in that momentum of promotion and feeling good. They are no mugs – you don’t go to Ipswich and play against Sheffield Wednesday and win if you are.
“They have got things in order, and we need to be at our best as they’re not going to be a simple pushover.”
