THE Pirelli Stadium is delighted to confirm the return of our popular Sporting Dinner event next month – with cricket legend Geoff Miller OBE our guest speaker!
Following on from the many popular events held at the Pirelli Stadium over the years, this evening on Thursday, November 25 promises to be a fantastic evening for cricket and sports fans.
The evening begins at 7pm and tickets are available for just £55 (inc VAT) per head, with tables of 8, 10 or 12 guests available, as well as individual tickets which are available on a shared table, with a four-course meal included.
Geoff Miller OBE has spent 20 years on the professional cricket circuit, representing Derbyshire, Essex, Natal and England, travelling to all of the major Test-playing countries and playing with or against all of the present-day greats.
Apart from cricket, Geoff’s greatest attribute was being able to keep his teammates amused with his hilarious dry Northern humour which he now brings to the after-dinner speaking stage.
The comedian for the evening is the inept Hospital Radio DJ Ivan Brackenbury, whose credits include the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe where he was nominated for the IF comedy prize for the best show. Ivan’s TV appearances include 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Knowing Me Knowing Yule with Alan Partridge.
