HEMMINGS AND OSHILAJA VISIT COMMUNITY SESSION IN WINSHILL

18 October 2021

BREWERS stars Kane Hemmings and Deji Oshilaja were in attendance at one of Burton Albion Community Trust’s Community Engagement sessions last week.

The session, based at the Winshill Neighbourhood Resource Centre every Tuesday from 5pm-7pm, aims to create safer, stronger and more respectful communities through the development of young people’s potential, whilst providing access to facilities, coaching and mentoring.

Hemmings', Burton Albion’s PFA Community Engagement Ambassador, said: “I’ve spent a lot of time working in the Winshill area in recent months and have got to know a lot of local faces.

“To be able to come here with Deji who’s never been to the area before is great, because I could see that he enjoyed it just as much as I did.

“Burton Albion working in the local community is really important and I want to help our club in having a lasting effect on our local area.”

Harry Clamp, BACT Youth Engagement Coordinator, said “We would like to thank both Kane and Deji for attending and getting involved in our Kicks session at Winshill.

The children really did enjoy themselves. It was also amazing to see Kim rewarded with a signed Burton Albion shirt for all the hard work she does throughout the Winshill area”.
