BURTON Albion Football Club is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to fill some very, very big shoes – quite literally – as our beloved mascot Billy Brewer!
Billy and his wife Bettie are two of the most important and visible figures at the club – playing a key role in our matchday entertainment, as well as within Burton Albion Community Trust’s various programmes and sessions.
And now we are recruiting for someone to take on the responsibility of performing as Billy at every Burton Albion home match over the 2021/22 season.
Your role will be to proactively engage with supporters of all ages on matchdays, raising smiles and ensuring that supporters leave the Pirelli Stadium remembering a remarkable day.

This position is initially voluntary and requires 2-4 hours of working each matchday, and is subject to an enhanced Discloure and Barring Service check being undertaken.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of working with children, ideally within a performance type role.
- Be available to work all home games [between 2-4 hours per match]
- Be the spirit of the team and have the ability to engage with fans of all ages.
- Act as a BAFC ambassador meeting and greeting fans.
- Entertain supporters pre-match and during half-time.
