BURTON Albion manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has been nominated for Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month for August.
The Brewers took 10 points from our opening five games of the 2021/22 season, and we currently sit third in the table.
The gaffer is nominated alongside Gareth Ainsworth of Wycombe Wanderers, Lee Johnson of Sunderland and Leam Richardson of Wigan Athletic.
The judging panel, comprised of former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, EFL Communications Director Mark Rowan and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies, said the following:
"The only downside with retaining Burton’s League One status so impressively is that Hasselbaink raised expectations for this campaign.
"No matter. The momentum he built has carried over with 10 points collected from five games."
