JIMMY AND DINO OPEN VILLAGE FETE: PICTURE GALLERY

13 September 2021

JIMMY Floyd Hasselbaink and Dino Maamria were special guests at Anslow Fete, where they cut the ribbon to officially open the village show.

Hundreds of people attended the fete, which raised money for the village church, and Brewers fans joined the visitors ahead of the home game with Gillingham on Saturday.

Burton Albion Chairman Ben Robinson introduced the management team.

He said: "At Burton Albion being part of the community is what we are all about and that's why we are delighted to be able to bring Jimmy and Dino here to open this great village event."

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink congratulated organisers on putting together all the events.

He said: "Thank you for asking us to open the fete, it's a great privilege. At Burton Albion the community supports us and we support the community.

"It's good to see so many people attending including all the Burton fans. It's a great cause to support the local church, so well done on all your efforts."

The fete featured a fun dog show, a raffle, a bouncy castle and slide, face painting, lots of stalls, and refreshments and Burton Albion Community Trust organised a penalty shoot out.

Burton MP Kate Griffiths was among the visitors.

A total of £8400.52 was raised which will go to support Holy Trinity Church in Anslow.
