BURTON Albion’s young supporters were handed their Junior Brewers membership packs from first team players John Brayford and Deji Oshilaja ahead of the Gillingham home fixture.
This season there are three different membership packages – Baby Brewers, Mini Brewers and Team Brewers – which cater for all ages up to 16.
All youngsters who had joined one of the new groups were invited to the 3G pitch ahead of the match on Saturday so they could meet the players, and have a kick about on the artificial turf.
Club captain John Brayford said: “Our young fans are very important to the football club and it was great to be able to meet so many of them.
“All the players love the chance to get involved in the plans for our junior supporters and look forward to meeting them at various special events throughout the season.”
Burton Albion Community Trust’s Head of Community Matt Hancock said: “It was great to see so many of our young fans come over to the 3G pitch to collect their membership packs and meet John and Deji.
“We have an exciting programme ahead for all age groups and it’s not too late to be a part of it so sign up now and join us on another great Burton Albion adventure.”
