BREWERS players Joe Powell and Tom Hamer were in attendance on Tuesday evening at Burton Albion Community Trust’s Advanced Development Centre session.
The Advanced Development sessions aim to provide talented players (aged 9-16) playing in grassroots football, with an opportunity to practice and play in a professional environment whilst representing both Burton Albion Community Trust and Burton Albion Football Club.
Paul Gaskin, BACT Community Engagement Manager, said: “It was great to have 2 first team players attend the session and join in with the activities. It was inspiring for the youngsters at the session to get the chance to chat with players from the Burton Albion first team and to be able to ask them for their advice on how to develop their skills”.
James Lloyd, Football in the Community Co-ordinator, said: “The Advanced Development Centre is the Community Trust’s elite football programme for talented players in and around Burton.
“It’s fantastic that our participants have been given the opportunity to meet first team players and reinforces how important the football club is to the work that BACT does.
“Tom and Joe are role models for many of our players. To see them in person and ask them questions was brilliant for our young lads. A special thanks must go to both for taking their time out to get involved”.
