ONE of Burton Albion's longest-standing supporters has received a surprise visit from first team players Ben Garratt and Louis Moult.
Bernard Lawes has watched Burton Albion throughout the club's 72-year history and was even at the Town Hall meeting that brought the club to life.
He celebrated his 90th birthday recently and to mark the EFL Week of Action Burton Albion decided to make a surprise visit to his Burton home.
The players took time out from preparing for Saturday's home game with Plymouth to visit Bernard and present him with a framed picture of him and Billy Brewer, an Easter gift set and a signed EFL Week of Action t-shirt.
Bernard said: "It's a lovely surprise. I certainly wasn't expecting this.
"I have always been a fan and I'll be there on Saturday hoping we can get another three points."
Bernard keeps records on Brewers games and lists of average attendances and past managers, which he showed the players.
Louis said: "It was great to meet Bernard and to thank him for all his loyal support over so many years. I hope we can get a win for him now as well."
