A PLACARD Parade will take place at half-time during our home game with Plymouth giving businesses the chance to support Burton Rotary Club.
The parade will take place during the break in the League One home game at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday, April 9.
There will also be a bucket collection with volunteers from Rotary asking fans to donate money that will go to help the disaster relief effort in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, donations made by businesses taking part in the placard parade will go to local good causes. The parade was due to take place on March 26 but with the Wigan game being postponed has moved to the Plymouth home game on April 9.
A list of supporting businesses can be seen below.
The parade, organised by Burton Rotary Club, takes place annually at the Pirelli Stadium with companies signing up to have their names displayed on placard boards that are taken around the ground. More than £6,600 was raised from the last event to support good causes.
Good causes that Rotary supports include: Burton YMCA, Hearing Dogs, Burton Addiction Centre, Macmillan Cancer Support, Midlands Air Ambulance and St Giles Hospice.
Burton Albion Chairman Ben Robinson, who is President of Burton Rotary, said: “We are always delighted at the Pirelli Stadium to host this popular event.
“At Rotary we work very hard to support local good causes and after the impact of Covid these donations are more important than ever.
“The bucket collection will be in aid of the people of Ukraine, and I ask everyone to be as generous as possible to provide much-needed help for all those suffering in this terrible war.”
