BURTON ALBION PARTNER WINS PRESTIGIOUS AWARD

21 April 2022

A BURTON businessman who joined forces with Burton Albion and the club's community trust to help provide a special Christmas for 200 children has won a special award.

Nathan Dear’s company, world leading manufacturers Longvale, has won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade.

Longvale is a leading manufacturer of industrial sensors and process automation components, based at Lancaster Park, near Burton.

Nathan donated 200 vouchers worth £66 each to a special Christmas campaign and worked with the football club and Burton Albion Community Trust to deliver the project.

Longvale is a second-generation family business with strong community values and wanted to work with Burton Albion to make sure children didn’t miss out on Christmas gifts.

Brewers Chairman Ben Robinson said: “It was a fantastic gesture from Nathan and his company Longvale, and we were delighted to be able to make it happen for them.

“Christmas is a special time, and this heart-warming gesture had a great impact and brought a lot of happiness.

“Now I’m delighted that Longvale has won this prestigious award. Nathan and his company share our determination to make an impact in the community and use business success to help make a difference locally, so we are pleased they have been recognised in this way.

“We are looking forward to working with them again in the future.”
