MANAGER'S PREVIEW | DONCASTER ROVERS (A)

23 April 2022

MANAGER Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says Burton Albion have to show the right mentality and hunger away at Doncaster Rovers this afternoon.

The Brewers travel to Eco-Power Stadium (3pm kick-off) looking to take three points in our final away fixture of the 2021/22 campaign.

Doncaster will also be looking for three points, needing two wins from their final two games of the season in order to avoid relegation to Sky Bet League Two.

The Brewers have kept four clean sheets in a row heading into today's game and took a long-awaited victory in midweek, defeating promotion-chasing Rotherham United 2-0 at the Pirelli Stadium.

And Hasselbaink says he will not allow complacency to creep into his side - emphasising the dangers that Doncaster will pose today.

"With our mentality, we respect everybody," said Hasselbaink.

"We won't go there expecting them to lie down, you can't have that attitude - they don't play that way.

"They pass through the thirds and try to hurt you. They are a side who, if you don't respect them, are going to hurt you.

"We are not in the business of thinking something of an opponent that they're not. No. I respect what they have - they have got good things, and they have stuff that I think we can explore and that's what we're concentrating on.

"We want to win and to be able to win, you've got to do a lot of things right, because we won't be given a win.

"We have to be prepared to suffer to get the win. It's all about the mentality and the hunger, and we have to show that."T

Hasselbaink also confirmed that, while there are a few tired bodies in the squad heading into the final two games of the season, there are no fresh injury concerns.

Harry Chapman came off with a dead leg in the 2-0 win over Rotherham United in midweek, but is expected to be fit for the trip today.

"I've got no (new) injuries," said Hasselbaink.

"We have a few tired bodies, but no injuries.

"Harry is going to be available.
