Supporter Code of Conduct - updated May 2023

Burton Albion is a family-friendly football club that provides a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors.

The club will not tolerate unacceptable and anti-social behaviour at the Pirelli Stadium. We expect all of our supporters to conduct themselves in a way that represents the values of the club.

Conduct which jeopardises the safety and enjoyment of others or which is likely to bring the club into disrepute is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.

Unacceptable behaviour includes language or action aimed at individuals or groups based on their gender, colour, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability.

Burton Albion will not tolerate the use of threatening or abusive language or conduct.

In respect of any individual who is guilty of a football-related offence or is in breach of EFL Ground Regulations either at the Pirelli Stadium or when visiting other clubs, we will take appropriate action.

Such action is likely to include:

  • Refusal of entry to, or ejection from the stadium followed by a written warning;
  • Temporary and/or indefinite club or Football Banning orders from attending Burton Albion home and away fixtures;
  • A report to the police potentially resulting in criminal proceedings leading to banning orders for all matches and/or custodial sentences.

Any supporter encroaching onto the pitch will be ejected. Supporters intending to encroach onto the pitch will also be ejected and handed over to the police which in turn will lead to a club ban.

Alcohol is strictly forbidden in seating areas or in view of the pitch.

Burton Albion operates a zero tolerance policy to the use of pyrotechnics. The club will take action against any fan seen with or using a pyrotechnic.

Derogatory, abusive, and wholly unacceptable social media posts are entirely unacceptable. Anyone found guilty of using language of a racist, xenophobic or discriminatory nature is indulging in unacceptable conduct and as such will face further action from the club.

Supporters are reminded if purchasing tickets on behalf of others, they are required to provide names and contact details for each individual ticket holder and tickets must not be passed on to anyone else.

Plan your journey in advance and arrive at the stadium in plenty of time.

Please avoid bringing large bags into the stadium and only do so if absolutely necessary, to avoid slowing down the stadium entry process.

Upon entering the stadium, please pay close attention to signage, floor markings and instructions issued by stewards or via the club’s PA system, this will help get you where you need to be in the most efficient way.
