BURTON Albion take on Wycombe Wanderers in what is the last game of the 2021/22 season at the Pirelli Stadium tomorrow afternoon (12.30pm) kick-off.

The Brewers come into the game off the back of a 2-0 defeat away at Doncaster Rovers, the first time the Brewers let in a goal in the last five outings.

Wycombe are currently on an 11-game unbeaten streak coming into the final game of the season. The Chairboys last result came in a narrow 1-0 victory over fellow play-off challenging Sheffield Wednesday.

Since the Brewers were promoted to the EFL, the sides have faced off a total of 13 times with Albion winning seven of these and Wycombe taking six.

This will be the third time the teams have come up against each other this season, with the most recent coming in a 2-1 loss for the Brewers at Adams Park. Albion got the better of Wycombe in the Papa John’s Trophy, however. An Aaron Amadi-Holloway hat-trick was the highlight in a 5-0 victory over the Chairboys.

There are no fresh injury concern for the Brewers heading into tomorrow’s match. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has been back in training following an illness and will be available to face Wycombe tomorrow.

Manager of Wycombe Gareth Ainsworth says his side are relishing the final day of the season as the race for the play-offs go down to the wire.

“Everyone is smiling, and I am making it as normal of a week as I can as we’ve done 45 normal weeks and have been brilliant.

“If six teams are better than us with more than 83 points, then wow, what a season they had.”

Robert Madley will be the man with the whistle for tomorrow’s encounter at the Pirelli Stadium. He will be assisted by Hristo Karaivanov and Declan O’Shea while the Fourth Official will be Adam Ricketts.

Tickets for tomorrow’s final game of the season are still on sale and will be available to purchase on the gate tomorrow. Tickets purchased on the gate will see a £2 increase from that of the online tickets.

The Family Zone will be open 90 minutes before kick-off on the 3G pitch next to the Burton Albion Community Trust Building.

At the Family Zone, there will be music, activities, games, tea and coffee. Visitors to the Family Zone are welcome to take an ‘honesty flag’ to use during the game to show their support for the Brewers. We kindly ask you to return the flags at the end of the match.

The Family Zone will be open from 11.00-12.45

Come and visit the Family Zone for the last time this season as we look to end the campaign on a high.

Your DJ for tomorrow’s match-day playlist will be Brewers frontman Christian Saydee.

Make sure you’re listening in the build-up to kick-off as Chris gets you prepared for the final game of the season. The playlist will be available to listen to on Spotify soon, so keep your eyes peeled on social media later today to listen early.
