MATCH PREVIEW | IPSWICH TOWN (H)

15 August 2022

BURTON Albion play the first of back-to-back home games on Tuesday night, taking on Ipswich Town at the Pirelli Stadium (7.45pm kick-off).

The Tractor Boys have had a positive start to the season, drawing once and winning twice - including a 3-0 victory over MK Dons at the weekend.

HEAD 2 HEAD

The Brewers recorded their first ever win over Ipswich last season, a 2-1 victory at the Pirelli Stadium almost a year ago to the day, with goals from Joe Powell and Lucas Akins cancelling out Joe Pigott's effort.

Other than that, Ipswich have had the upper hand in all games since the sides first met in 2016, winning eight out of 10 meetings in total. The solitary draw was a goalless encounter in the Championship back in February 2018.

The most recent meeting between the two sides came at Portman Road in March, where the hosts took a 3-0 victory.

MATCH OFFICIALS

Tomorrow's referee will be Ben Toner from Lancashire. In the three games Toner has officiated this season, he has shown seven yellow cards and no reds.

The assistant referees will be Abbas Khan and Hristo Karaivanov, with Peter Wright as the fourth official.
