FACTS and figures relating to tomorrow's League One game with Derby County from Tony Bentley.

On This Day - December 10

On this date in 2016 the Brewers travelled to Griffin Park for a Championship fixture. Brentford took an 11th minute lead through Scott Hogan, only for Jamie Ward to equalise after 27 minutes. Hogan breached the Burton defence again after 53 minutes to send the majority of the 9,035 crowd home happy.

Burton were on their travels again in 2011 when they travelled to Crawley Town for a League Two fixture. It was an afternoon to forget as 3,001 fans saw the Sussex side triumph 3-0.

In 1988 Albion were again on the road this time to Worcester City in the Beazer Homes Premier Division. A crowd of 822 saw a thrilling game as goals from Joey Taylor, Mark Whitehouse and an Ian Straw penalty earned a 3-2 victory.

It was Birmingham Senior Cup action in 1988 with a trip to VS Rugby. In front of 418 fans a Bob Gauden goal was enough to see Burton progress to the next round.

Derby County

The first ever league meeting between the two sides wasn’t until August 2 2016 when a ground record crowd of 6,746 saw the two sides meet in the Championship in front of the Sky TV cameras.

The only goal of the game came after just 12 minutes when Lucas Akins crossed from the right for Jackson Irvine to time his run to perfection before heading home.
