MATCH PREVIEW - BOLTON WANDERERS (H)

14 February 2022

BURTON Albion take on Bolton Wanderers under the lights of the Pirelli Stadium tomorrow night, the second of back-to-back home games for the Brewers (7.45pm kick-off).

FORM GUIDE

Albion head into this game after a 2-2 draw on Saturday at home to Cambridge United. The Brewers took the lead twice with goals from January signings Gassan Ahadme and William Kokolo, but two Cambridge equalisers made sure the points were shared.

Without a win in three, the Brewers look to get back to winning ways against in form Bolton Wanderers tomorrow.

The visitors are unbeaten in their last seven, winning six of those matches. In their last game, Bolton twice fought back from behind to beat play-off chasing Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday.

HEAD 2 HEAD

The two sides have faced off competitively a total of six times since the Brewers were promoted to the EFL. Albion have won four of those games while Bolton are yet to get the better of the Brewers. The last two matches between the sides have ended all square.

New Year’s Day in 2020 threw up a classic between the two sides, with the Brewers edging a seven-goal thriller at the Macron Stadium 4-3. Goals from David Templeton, Liam Boyce and a double from Lucas Akins secured a memorable New Year’s Day victory for the Brewers.
