FOLLOWING the success of our previous tournaments, Burton Albion’s Corporate Five-a-Side is back - and you could be part of the action!
With lots of early interest from previous tournament participants and with spaces going fast, don’t allow your business to miss out on taking part in the ultimate football competition!
It’s a rare opportunity to be able to play on the Pirelli Stadium pitch, which has hosted the likes of Premier League Leicester City and Newcastle United this season – the perfect treat for your employees!
This year’s tournament will take place on Friday, May 13. Teams will arrive at 12.30pm, with the day ending with a presenation of team/player awards at around 9.30pm.
The cost is £850 for ten people plus VAT (eight players, manager and assistant manager).
Every team is guaranteed to play a minimum of four games (60 minutes playing time). Group winners will contest semi-finals and finals.
It promises to be a great day out which includes lunch and a three-course evening meal alongside special guest and Premier League referee Kevin Friend – he will also be match official for the tournament final and after dinner speaker inside the Albion Suite.
A total of 20 teams took part in the last tournament, with last year’s scheduled event sadly having to be cancelled due to the pandemic - JCB emerged as the winners last time out in 2019!
Importantly, £5,000 was raised for Burton Albion Community Trust’s disability projects, with proceeds once again from this year’s tournament going to the same cause.
The draw will be made in advance of the tournament at the Pirelli Stadium with Brewers manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Burton Albion first team players pulling the numbers out of the hat.
