BURTON Albion’s matchday stewards will be seen in new jackets thanks to a sponsorship deal with Security Kings.
The stewards are an important part of the Pirelli Stadium’s reputation as a welcoming family-friendly place to watch football.
This was recognised in our annual supporters’ survey with the stewarding receiving an 8.5 rating out of 10 from supporters.
Burton Albion Chairman Ben Robinson said: “Stewarding is a vital part of the matchday experience, and we are fortunate to have a long-standing relation with Security Kings which has been very successful and greatly appreciated by our fanbase.
“I want to thank Security Kings for their continued support as we continue to work together to make the Pirelli Stadium a safe welcoming environment for all visitors.”
Leigh Baldwin, Director of Security Kings, said: “Sponsoring the new stewards’ jackets is important for Security Kings as is fostering new talent and helping the next generation have as many opportunities as possible.
“Security Kings has been working alongside Burton Albion FC for the last 16 years and we appreciate this opportunity to highlight both the stewardship programmes that Burton Albion offers and our own ‘Security Kings Training School’.
“We deliver security training courses that both upskill current security personnel in addition to increasing employment and career opportunities for local people in Derbyshire and Staffordshire.”
