KANE Hemmings has joined Sky Bet League Two side Tranmere Rovers for an undisclosed fee.
With the 29-year-old’s contract expiring in the summer, Burton Albion have accepted an undisclosed fee for the Burton-born striker after receiving several offers from other clubs – with the striker opting to join the Merseyside club.
Hemmings leaves the Brewers having scored 20 goals in 63 league games for the club after joining the Brewers from Scottish side Dundee in the summer of 2020.
Manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink wished Hemmings well in his new move, thanking the striker for his efforts both on and off the field.
“We had to let him go – a bid was made and we accepted it given the time remaining on his contract,” said Hasselbaink.
“We want to thank him for his efforts during his time with us. He’s done very well for us and we wish him well for the future.
"The way that he’s applied himself during games, in training and out in the community has been brilliant.”
