BREWERS forward Louis Moult expressed his delight after making his first appearance for Burton Albion against MK Dons on Tuesday night.
Moult joined the club in the summer transfer window before an ankle injury picked up in pre-season saw him ruled out until January.
He came on as a substitute in Albion’s late 1-0 defeat at the Pirelli Stadium in midweek and says it was good to get back out there.
“It was a great feeling to come on," said Moult.
"When the gaffer called my name that adrenaline rush came and everything all just came flooding back to me.
”It was bittersweet, coming on and then conceding late on. I was devastated for the lads because we put so much effort into that game.
“They (MK Dons) played some nice football, Ben made some fantastic saves, but I think we were well in the game.”
Moult says he is no longer focused on the injury which ruled the frontman out for almost half a season and insists he has put it behind him and focused on the task ahead.
“I’m trying to put that all behind me, I’m looking forward and trying to play as many minutes as I can for this club," said Moult.
“The gaffer and everyone at this football club have put faith in me, and now it’s up to me to repay that with hard work, endeavour and goals and that is exactly what I’m about.
“It’s important for me now to stay as fit as I possibly can as well as stay patient.
“When I am on that pitch, I’ll make sure to give everything for this football club."
