BURTON Albion's Professional Development Phase side return to action this afternoon with an away trip to Salford City in the EFL Youth Alliance Cup quarter-final.
After picking up two wins and a single defeat, the Young Brewers topped their cup group and have advanced to the knockout stage.
They will face Salford at midday today in the final eight.
Academy Manager Dan Robinson said: "It's always exciting and pleasing to get through to the knockout stages of a competition, especially as group winners.
"We had a tough game against Shrewsbury but our wins over Walsall and Port Vale were really hard-earned and we're looking forward to testing ourselves against Salford now.
"It's an away trip and a lengthier trip than the lads will be used to, but it's all part of getting them used to the experiences they could face in the future.
"There will be plenty for the players to learn and plenty to take forward in their development on and off the pitch, and we're looking forward to a good game."
The @BAFCAcademy Twitter page will have updates from today's game, and there will be a full report and reaction from our reporter George Wilson.
