WILLIAM Kokolo says Burton Albion showed great character to come from a goal behind to win 2-1 at Lincoln City yesterday.
Kokolo played the full 90 minutes on his full debut for the Brewers, catching the eye with an impressive display in the left-wing-back role.
He was an instrumental part in securing the Brewers fourth away victory of the season, his cross leading to Joe Powell’s equalising goal.
Speaking after Albion's first away win over Lincoln since 2009, former Middlesbrough defender Kokolo said the side showed great character in the manner of the victory
“I was surprised of the intensity in this league and it is very hard, but I am happy with my contribution today,” said Kokolo.
“We drew the first half of course, and then to make it 1-1 and then 2-1 it showed some really good character from the team."
Speaking on his position within the team, William can be deployed as a left-back or as a wing-back, and he spoke on his favourite of the two.
“I think for me personally, wing-back is the best position for me.”
“I know I can play left-back, but with three at the back and I am in at wing-back, it’s just perfect for me.
"I love it."
