BURTON Albion are delighted to confirm that defender Sam Hughes has signed for the Brewers on a permanent basis after leaving Leicester City.
The 24-year-old has been on loan with the Brewers since the summer transfer window, and made his triumphant return from a year-long battle back from an ACL injury earlier this month.
Hughes, who scored his first goal of the season in our 2-1 win at Lincoln City last weekend, joined the Brewers on loan last season, making 15 appearances before his season was cruelly cut short.
Now recovered from that ACL injury, Hughes has started our last four Sky Bet League One games and signed a two-and-a-half year contract at the Pirelli Stadium.
Welcome to Burton Albion, Sam - this time, it's for keeps!
